4 Disadvantages of owning A Horse!

Last week I wrote about 5 Advantages Of Owning A Horse! So this week I have decided to follow that up with the disadvantages!  Of course this time I only have 4 Disadvantages as horses are awesome!

1. Money!

Everyone knows that horses can be very expensive!  If you aren't lucky enough to have your own stables and fields like a lot of us then the yard fees can be a crazy price!  To find a decent priced livery yard you will have to look long and hard.  The other problem about livery yards is they are often only in populated areas so you will have to travel to find one!

2. Time!

In my last post I told you about there always being something to do and you are never bored when you have a horse but there can be too much to do!  Even if you have a lot time for your horse you can spend so much time with stable duties and end up at the end of the day not having time to ride you steed.

3.  You body Is Going To Hurt!

It seems not matter how much work you do and how long you have horses your body is going to get sore, your muscles will hurt and you will be exhausted at the end of the day!  You also have to think about your horses muscles as you can't push your horse too far either!

4.  You can't Just Jump On And Go To A Show!
If you want to compete of even just ride at a high level at home it takes a lot of time, effort and patience to get to where you want to be.  If you push your horse you can see him go the opposite way and be nervous of being ridden, get hurt and much more!  So it really pays to be patient with horses!!
