4 Ways You're Probably Riding Wrong

1.  Focusing on your horse only

I have found when I am riding I tend to focus more on what my horse is doing.  I think it is more important to think about your position and how you are riding and your horse will react in a better way.  Watching your own body will allow you to adjust your position so you are riding at your best.

2.  Forgetting to improve yourself

It is easy to find you are riding the best you ever have and then stop trying to improve yourself.  You should instead be constantly checking position, working on your fitness in the saddle and making your aids perfect.  The more you work on yourself the better your horse will get instead of the other way around which I feel like a lot of people do.

3.  Teaching your horse something new alone

This is a big no-no if you want to do things the right way!  When you are teaching your horse something brand new you may not know how it is supposed to look and feel.  Having a trainer or even just a friend on the ground watching you to make sure you are doing things right and that your horse is doing the right thing.

4.  Thinking Your Not Good Enough

This is such an important step!  You really need to believe in yourself and understand that you are doing a great job.  If you are the type of person that doesn't want to go to a show because you think you aren't good enough then you are wrong.  You will never get better if you stay in your bubble and think you are no good.  You need to push yourself and have confidence for you and your horse.
